Opened in August 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Avalon: Academic Assistance is a friendly and welcoming online platform for students from around the world to seek academic help, make friends, find study resources, and help others in the subjects they are strong in. Our mission is to reduce education inequality by providing a free and widely accessible resource that allows students to enhance their learning and seek personal growth.

The story behind the name:
Also known as the Isle of Apples or Isle of Glass, Avalon is a mythical island in Arthurian legend. The island's legendary healing powers were said to restore King Arthur after he was injured in a major battle. According to Arthurian authors, his sword, Excalibur, was forged there too. We hope that this Avalon will prove to be a sanctuary for you as it was for King Arthur in legend, and that it will provide for you friendship, support, mental strength, and forge the tools necessary to help you to succeed in whatever it is you desire.
